With band brethren Victor Wooten on bass, Roy “Future Man” Wooten on percussion, and Howard Levy on piano and harmonica, banjoist legend Béla Fleck announced the return of his eponymous Béla Fleck and The Flecktones quartet. Shortly after Thanksgiving 2025, this critically acclaimed crew of musicians will embark on a nationwide concert series celebrating the spirit of Christmas through music from their perennial 2008 holiday studio album, Jingle All The Way. The project, issued under Rounder Records, rose to the number-one spot of the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart and clinched the outfit’s fifth Grammy Award by winning “Best Pop Instrumental 'Album” at the 2009 ceremonies. Audiences will marvel in wide-eyed awe as Béla and company showcase world-class instrumental innovation, melding a suite of transformative sounds from jazz and progressive bluegrass, with dashes of folk, rock, funk, classical, and world music conventions.
JINGLE ALL THE WAY will reacquaint you with such iconic Béla Fleck and The Flecktones hits as “Silent Night,” “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” “Sleigh Ride,” “What Child Is This,” “O Come All Ye Faithful,” and other reimagined staples from the evergreen Christmas repertoire. Jeff Coffin of Dave Matthews Band (also former saxophonist of the Flecktones) will join in to add a layer of lush, woodwind complexity to this night’s symphonic ambiance, further elevated by the powerful vocal harmonies of Tuvan throat singing group Alash, who, alongside Coffin, helped produce the uniquely eclectic arrangements of the tour’s associated album.
